Soak the Semolina in the warm milk and keep aside while you make ready the other ingredients.
In a bowl take the curd and baking soda, mix well and keep aside for 10 mins.
Add the sugar to the curd mixture and let the sugar dissolve. Add vanilla essence, oil, orange juice, orange zest to it. Add the soak Semolina to it and mix well.
Seive in the flour, cardamon powder and baking powder and gently fold it to make a smooth batter.
Grease a cake pan and preheat oven @180° for 10 mins.
Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 35 mins. A toothpick inserted should come out clean. Mine took exactly 35 mins.
Remove from oven, let it stand for 5 mins. Demould it and let it cool down completely, cut and serve.
